I am a strong, consistent pro-life Christian.
I was raised with a strong Christian worldview. Every baby is a gift from God, created in His image. Abortion is the greatest moral evil the world has ever seen.
While I served as Chairman of the Ottawa County Board of Commissioners, the Board passed the Resolution to Promote Life and we took proactive steps to promote pro-life, pro-family policies at the county level. This included working with Protect Life Michigan to support moms and dads attending Grand Valley State University, and ending the county’s promotion of Planned Parenthood-aligned content online and to schools.
Science and the Bible are clear that life begins at conception.
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.”

The Declaration of Independence also affirms this truth:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

I will never vote to reduce restrictions on abortion. I will continue to stand for protecting children, parental rights, and freedom.
